Transformer
Core: It is the magnetic circuit part of a transformer, usually made of stacked silicon steel sheets to reduce eddy current and hysteresis losses in the core. There are various shapes of iron cores, commonly including core type and shell type.
Winding: It is the circuit part of a transformer, made by winding insulated copper or aluminum wire. The winding connected to the power supply is called the primary winding, and the winding connected to the load is called the secondary winding. The number of turns and wire diameter of the winding are designed based on parameters such as voltage, current, and capacity of the transformer.
Insulation system: used to isolate conductors with different potentials to ensure the safe operation of transformers. Insulation materials include insulation paper, insulation oil, insulation paint, etc. The insulation performance of transformers directly affects their service life and reliability.
Cooling system: Transformers generate heat during operation and require cooling systems for heat dissipation. Common cooling methods include oil immersed self cooling, oil immersed air cooling, forced oil circulation air cooling, water cooling, etc. For example, large power transformers often use forced oil circulation air cooling method, which circulates hot oil to the radiator for cooling through an oil pump, and then returns to the transformer oil tank.
