Laboratory liquid nitrogen tanks are generally larger than 30 liters.
There are two reasons:
1. Consider capacity
The capacity of liquid nitrogen tanks ranges from 2 to 175 liters. Different capacities can store different numbers of samples. The larger the capacity, the more samples can be stored.
For laboratories, there are many people who freeze samples, with a wide variety and large quantities. Therefore, it is recommended to choose a jar of more than 30 liters, which can store a variety of samples without the need for frequent refills.
2. Consider caliber
There are 6 options for liquid nitrogen tank diameter, 50mm, 80mm, 125mm, 127mm, 210mm, 216mm;
There are many types and large quantities of samples stored in the laboratory. Freezing racks are often used for matching. If the diameter is too small, it will not fit in. Therefore, it is recommended to use a diameter of 125mm or above. A larger diameter makes it easier to take samples and is used with a freezing box. More samples can be saved.
To sum up, liquid nitrogen tanks used in laboratories generally have a capacity of more than 30 liters and a diameter of more than 125mm. But the important thing is to choose based on your actual needs.
