CSAIL 3900 is a methyl benzotriazole derivative, which is a liquid oil-soluble corrosion inhibitor and metal passivator. It is widely used in various lubricating oils and metal working fluids. As a corrosion inhibitor, it can effectively protect copper, copper alloys, cadmium, cobalt, silver and zinc. As a metal passivator, it can precipitate ions of the metal, thereby inhibiting the electrochemical corrosion of the surface of other metals, and preventing these ions from oxidation catalysis.
