water turbine pump is a water lifting machine composed of a water turbine and a water pump in a certain way. The water flow with a certain amount of energy drives the turbine runner to rotate, thereby driving the water pump impeller to move. Under the action of the impeller, the water is lifted to a high place. Water turbine pumps can be installed and used in places with a certain flow rate and drop.
The structure of this type of product is shown in Figure 1. Its main characteristics: the water pump part is a single stage pump or a multi-stage pump; The guide seat of the hydraulic turbine is of fixed or movable guide vane type; The top bearing is a metal rolling bearing or a plastic bearing; There are also coaxial and non coaxial water turbine pumps in the machine pump central connection: the machine pump is separated, and there is a gear transmission speed increase or a belt transmission speed increase in the middle, which can achieve two purposes: power generation and water pumping
The performance parameters of a water turbine pump include: head H, flow rate Q, head h, outlet flow rate q, efficiency n, turbine power Pt, and rotational speed nt (as shown in Figure 2)
Water turbine pumps are similar to general small axial flow turbines and require the construction of hydraulic facilities such as diversion channels, sewage interceptors, gates, turbine pits, draft tubes, and tailrace channels that are suitable for the unit, based on the terrain conditions of the station. However, the installation method of hydraulic pumps is different from that of general small axial flow turbines. This manual introduces that hydraulic pumps can not only be installed vertically or horizontally, but also can be installed in parallel or parallel with multiple hydraulic pumps to increase the lifting height of the pump structure or increase its outlet flow rate
