Film Free Shrink Tester

Description

Film Free Shrink Tester is used to measure the degree of unrestrained linear thermal shrinkage at given temperatures of plastic film and sheeting in fluid medium. It complies with ASTM D2732.

 Test Process

 ● A temperature probe is located to fluid heating area.

 ● Mount the test specimen on the free shrink holder and place in the liquid bath when desired temperature is reached.

 ● When time is up, the alarm beeps.

 ● Remove test specimen and press Stop button to finish the test.

 ● Treat the specimen at ambient environment and measure the shrinkage

Calculation 

Unrestrained linear shrinkage % =[(Lo-Lf)/Lo]x 100

 Where: Lo = initial length 100mm)

             Lf = length of side after shrinking
