UHMWPE TUBE DESCRIPTION
UHMWPE tube is a thermoplastic engineering plastic with an average molecular weight greater than 3.5 million, which is polymerized by ethylene and butadiene monomers. The properties of the material can work under the conditions of -269 to +80 °C. It is called “amazing” engineering plastics. More and more projects have adopted of UHMWPE tube. UHMWPE TUBE FEATURES
1. Extremely high wear resistance, the unique molecular structure of UHMW-PE products makes it extremely resistant to sliding friction. The wear resistance is 6.6 times higher than that of ordinary alloy steel and 4-7 times that of steel pipe.
2. Extremely high impact resistance, the impact toughness value of this product is the highest among the existing engineering plastics. This product is subjected to the Izod impact test according to the GB1843 standard to achieve no damage.
3. Excellent chemical stability, this product can resist the erosion of strong chemical substances, except for some strong acids which are slightly corroded at high temperature, it will not corrode in other lye and acid solutions.
4. Good self-lubrication, because this product contains waxy substance, and self-lubrication is very good. The friction coefficient (196N, 2 hours) is only 0.219MN/m (GB3960), so it can not only move freely, but also protect the related workpieces from wear or strain.
5. Unique low temperature resistance, this product has excellent low temperature resistance, and its impact resistance and wear resistance are basically unchanged at minus 269 degrees Celsius. It is the only engineering plastic that can work at temperatures close to absolute zero.
6. It is not easy to scale. This product has good surface non-adhesion due to its small friction coefficient and non-polarity.
7. The environmental stress cracking resistance is the best; the elastic modulus is more than 1.5 times that of PE100; the fatigue strength is more than 500,000 times.
