Product features and advantages
VOK®-DF 1740 is an efficient and sustainable defoamer, which is prepared from renewable plant derivatives that replace non renewable raw materials (such as mineral oil). This additive complies with the global applicable ecological standard and is applicable to the most advanced "green" formula: VOC free (formaldehyde free (in line with VdL RL 03), mineral oil and organic silicon. VOK®-DF 1740 is odorless and biodegradable. Whether used as raw material or added into the formula, the additive has good yellowing resistance and storage stability.
Recommended use
VOK®-DF 1740 is recommended for waterborne architectural coatings, especially for emulsion paint and emulsion plaster with pigment volume concentration between 40-85.
It has no effect on the acceptability of color paste.
The additive can also be used as defoamer during polymerization.

Recommended dosage
2-0.5% auxiliary dosage (supply form) is based on the general formula, and can reach 0.7% under special circumstances.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and good dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.
Adding method and processing guidance
The additive can be added to the abrasive and paint mixing process. When added to the paint mixing process, enough high shear force must be provided.
