German technical background VOK®-Disper 2159 wetting and dispersing agent

Wetting and dispersing additive for solventborne and solvent-free UV-curable coating systems and conventional solventborne coating systems to disperse and stabilize untreated and treated silica type matting powders. It has a good viscosity reduction effect and improved matting performance.

Features and benefits: VOK®-Disper 2159 provides good dispersion and stabilization of raw and treated silica types of matting powders. When used for the dispersion of matting powders, VOK®-Disper 2159 provides good viscosity reduction, reduces thixotropy, and creates Newtonian flow behavior, enabling the addition of higher levels of matting powders. In addition, the addition and orientation of matting powder can be made more uniform. VOK®-Disper 2159 is particularly suitable for full matte, UV curable and conventional solventborne wood and furniture coatings, as well as for the production of solventborne matt slurries. The additive has good compatibility with all commonly used oligomers and monomers in UV-curable and conventional solventborne wood and furniture coating systems, as well as with a wide range of resins and organic solvents.
