Product characteristics and advantages Rheological additives improve the orientation of effective pigments and reduce cloud like color spots/speckles. At the same time, it can reduce the sedimentation of paint during storage and processing. Compared with polyurethane thickener, the additive exhibited lower cosolvent sensitivity; Compared with bentonite and acrylic thickener, it is easier to add and treat (for immediate use). VOK ®- AL 8421 is very suitable for improving rheological properties and brightness of pigment pastes without co solvent effect.

Recommended dosage 5-10% of auxiliary dosage (purchase form) is based on the general formula.

The above recommended dosage is for reference, and good dosage shall be determined through a series of tests.

Adding method and processing guidance VOK ®- AL 8421 shall be added after the effect pigment is added at a low shear rate. It is unnecessary to dilute with water in advance. Due to VOK ®- AL 8421 is acidic, and the PH value of the system decreases. Therefore, it is recommended to adjust the PH value to 9-9.5 before adding additives. The higher the solvent content in the formula, the more PH value needs to be adjusted. The final viscosity cannot be adjusted with a viscosity cup, but a rotary viscometer (e.g. Brookfield viscometer) can be used.
