German technical background VOK ®- Disper 207 Wetting Dispersant
A wetting and dispersing agent to improve the wettability and dispersion stability of pigments. As it is a controllable flocculation auxiliary, it is more suitable for primer and intermediate paint. If the gloss requirement is not too high, it can also be used for finish paint.
VOK ®- Disper 207 produces thixotropy, thus preventing floating color and blooming of pigment, settling and reducing sagging.
By VOK ®- The thixotropy produced by Disper 202 is better than that produced by VOK ®- Dispatch 202 or VOK ®- Dispatch 204 produces much less good. This additive can be used to make organophilic bentonite gel to produce bentonite slurry with improved fluidity, processability and storage stability.
VOK ®- Disper 207 is mainly used for antirust coatings and marine coatings based on alkyd, cyclized rubber, chlorinated rubber and asphalt derivatives, as well as for shop primers and water dilution systems.
Because of its moisture content, it is incompatible with zinc powder. In acid curing coatings and nitrocellulose coatings, VOK ®- Disper 207 can effectively prevent the precipitation of silica matting agents.
Chemical composition: alkanolamine salt solution of anionic unsaturated fatty acid
Solvent: isobutanol/propylene glycol methyl ether acetate 3/1
Auxiliary dosage: 1-2% inorganic pigment
0.5-1% of total formula
30-50% bentonite
Typical physicochemical data: amine value: 100 mg KOH/g
Non volatile matter: 80%
