Typical physicochemical data
The data given in this data page are only typical values, not technical indicators of the product.
Density (20 °C): 0.81 g/ml
Nonvolatile (10 min, 150 °C): 20%
Solvent: solvent gasoline
Flash point: 43 °C
Application field
Coating industry
Features and Advantages
VOK®-DF 052 N is less compatible than VOK®-DF 051 N, so it is used as a standard defoamer in many solvent-based paints. It has a stronger defoaming effect than VOK®-DF 051 N, especially in non-polar systems. Due to its reduced compatibility compared to VOK®-DF 051 N, its effect on varnish clarity and shrinkage must be evaluated.
It is recommended to use
Industrial coatings
Automobile original paint
Paint for wood and furniture
Architectural coatings
Anticorrosive coatings
The recommended dosage of 0.05-0.5% additives (supply form) is based on the total formula.
The above recommended dosage is for reference, and the appropriate dosage needs to be determined through a series of tests.
Adding method and processing instruction
For good performance, the defoaming agent should be added to the abrasive before grinding. If added at a later stage, sufficient shear force is required to ensure a good dispersion of the defoaming agent to prevent shrinkage.
Printing ink and gloss oil
Features and Advantages
VOK®-DF 052 N prevents the formation of foam in printing inks during manufacturing and construction. The agent has a rapid defoaming effect and does not affect the interlayer adhesion.
Application field
Solvent-based and solvent-free printing inks and glossy oils
