Description
• Sierra AirPrime WP8548 is an industrial grade LGA 239 pad AirPrime embedded module. Its wireless modem provides voice and data connectivity on HSPA, WCDMA, EDGE and GPRS networks. In addition to modem features, the AirPrime WP8548 also embeds several cores for maximum flexibility and security for embedded software execution including a telecom core that natively manages 2G/3G modem features and an application core dedicated to customer applications natively provided with Linux operating system.
• It provides an integrated device to cloud architecture enabling IoT developers to build a Linux based product on a single module and seamlessly send valuable user and product data to the cloud. Offering an application processor running the open source Legato platform, GNSS receiver and cellular modem with an ultra-low power domain, WP module reduces system complexity and gets users to market faster.
