About Volcanic stone: Volcanic stone (volcanic rock or pumice) is a dense porous vitreous lava formed by the rapid expansion of internal gases after the sudden cooling of magma in the process of volcanic eruption. The pore volume accounts for more than 50% of the rock volume. Because of the porosity, light weight, can float on the water is called pumice. It is characterized by high strength, heat preservation, heat insulation, sound absorption, fire prevention, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, and no pollution, no radioactive etc.
Volcanic stone Usage:
Aquatic area: living water, stable water quality, lure, adsorption, play props, promote metabolism, optimize growth, nitrifying bacteria culture, aquatic grass growth matrix material.
Plant planting field: because the small particle volcanic stone (1~6 mm) is loose and porous, rich in minerals, resistant to insect pests, and cheap, it is mostly used for soil or pavement of succulent plants to increase soil permeability, prevent root rot of succulent plants and prevent insect pests. Some plants that need to increase soil permeability can also add small particles of volcanic stone in the soil to prevent soil water from causing adverse effects on plants.
