Trailing cables are used for high mechanical stress, especially for applications with frequent winding and unwinding with simultaneous tensile and torsional stress.
Trailing cables are frequently used in building machinery, conveyors and lifting systems, and cranes.
Trailing cables are mainly used in industrial electronic systems, automatic generation lines, warehousing equipment, robots, fire fighting systems, cranes, CNC machine tools and metallurgical industry. When equipment units need to move back and forth, in order to prevent cable entanglement, abrasion, pull-off, hanging and scattering, cables are often placed in cable tow chains to protect the cables, and the cables can also move back and forth with the tow chains.
