 Distillation Apparatus for Cutback Asphalt

    The instrument uses a distillation unit to recover bitumen from the asphalt mixture. The asphalt pavement or asphalt mixture is extracted with a solution and the solvent in the extract is removed, and the properties of the asphalt in the mixture are not changed during the operation.

    The bitumen recovered from the asphalt pavement or the asphalt mixture according to this method can be used to evaluate the aging degree of the asphalt in the petroleum asphalt mixture, analyze the cause of the damage of the asphalt pavement, and use the mix ratio design of the recycled asphalt mixture. The various properties and chemical components of the recovered bitumen are determined as needed.
