National standard geotextiles are classified according to their use functions

1. Drainage filter geotextiles: geotextiles make the liquid and gas pass vertically while keeping the soil skeleton particles under the action of osmotic force from losing. Some geotextiles also serve as transverse drainage channels. Drainage filter geotextiles are mainly used for slope protection, wall or back filter layer of retaining wall, drainage blind ditch, soft foundation treatment and other projects. They are used as geosynthetics filter layer, bagged sand pebble filter layer, soft permeable pipe, plastic drainage belt, bagged sand wells or composite geomembrane outsourcing materials.

2. Enveloped geotextiles: geotextiles are used as loose soil, sand and stone wrappers or as carriers of concrete and mortar to form blocks of certain volume and shape for slope protection and scouring protection. The main products of wrapped geotextile are geobag, geomembrane bag and geotechnical pipe bag. The geotextile in bagged sand with pebble filter layer and bagged sand well has both wrapping function.

3. Isolated geotextiles: geotextiles are laid between different media to prevent the mixing of adjacent different media. Isolated geotextiles are mainly used to isolate fillers of different sizes in embankments, or to lay geotextiles on the surface of soft soil to avoid blocking the upper drainage cushion.

4. Reinforced geotextiles: The geotextiles with certain tensile strength are buried in the soil, depending on their interaction with the soil interface, the strength and stability of the soil are improved, and the displacement of the soil is limited.
