APPLICATIONS
Type W Portable Power Cable is suitable for use in Industrial and light-to-medium mining applications, heavy-duty service and temporary as power supply cables. Motor, battery and generator leads. It is also used for mobile and portable electrical equipment.

CONSTRUCTION
Type W portable power cables are manufactured with rope-lay stranded, bunched members, annealed copper conductors. A polyester or paper tape separates the copper conductors from the EP rubber insulation. The insulated conductors are assembled round with fillers as needed. The cable is covered with a black CPE rubber jacket. Jackets are reinforced by a braid or serve of synthetic material. Sizes 8 AWG through 500 MCM fully annealed stranded bare copper per ASTM B-172.
