Product Description
Four Sided Wet Film Applicator
Standards: BS 3900, ISO 2813, ASTM D 3258, D 3265
Precision Wet Film Applicators are simple, yet accurate tools which lay down a uniform thickness of film for observation and testing.
Their reliability has made them a standard in both experimental and quality control situations.
A small quantity (depending on length and thickness of film required) of the material to be checked is placed on the inside of the channel near the correct opening for the thickness desired.
The applicator is then drawn down over a chart, plate glass or other smooth flat surface producing a layer of uniform thickness of film.
4-Path models are made of chrome-plated tool steel or stainless steel.
All applicators are calibrated to actual clearance. Film thickness deposited may vary from 40% to 80% of the actual clearance.
