CBN tools are more wear resistant than carbide tools and more resistant to chipping than ceramic tools. They are the best material for processing high hardness steel parts. 3.Advantages of Halnn Solid PCBN inserts
In order to meet the advantages of high hardness and high wear resistance, many bearings are often obtained by heat treatment process. Some bearings have hardnesses up to HRC60, which poses great challenges to the wear resistance of cutting tools. For this, Halnn Tools introduced the BN-S20 grade and BN-H11 grade CBN cutters, which effectively solved the hot-hardened bearings.
The Halnn ToolsBN-S200 grade belongs to the Solid polycrystalline CBN tool, which not only overcomes the limitation of the cutting depth of the welded CBN tool, but also effectively avoids the risk of CBN tool failure and greatly improves the bearing production efficiency.
Halnn ToolsBN-H11 grades are inlaid CBN tools that exhibit excellent wear and heat resistance in hard turning bearings and guarantee dimensional accuracy and surface finish to Ra0.8.
4.Application Case
(1) Processing wind power bearing surface
The CBN tool BN-S20 grade square insert is used to process the surface of the wind power bearing to obtain a higher surface finish;
Common blade models: SNMN150716 or SNGN120712, due to the Solid polycrystalline CBN tool, need to be equipped with a professional hardened tool bar CSDNN central cutting tools protection inserts.
(2) Processing the shoulder surface of the wind power bearing surface
The CBN tool BN-S20 grade diamond Inserts is used to process the surface shoulder of the wind power bearing, which can greatly improve the production efficiency.
Common CBN Inserts models: CNGN120412 or CNGN120408, 90° tool holder with CCLNR/L.
