Hard turning bearings with pcbn insert BN-H11 and BN-S20 from Halnn Tools China famous hard cutting tools supplier
Bearings, as one of the most important components for machine tools, need high precision. In order to ensure excellent performance of the bearings, such as wear resistance, usage, the bearing manufacturer often use heat treatment process to obtain good characteristics.
The bearing hardness usually is above HRC45, some will be above HRC60, it will require high on the machine tool, cutting tools when machining this type bearings. For high requirements on the size precision and roughness, it will require high on the cutting tools wear resistance, impact resistance and Anti-fracture properties.
3. Specific for high hardness bearings (above HRC45), the cutting tools need have the following performance:
(1) High hardness, excellent wear resistance and heat resistance
(2) High sufficient bending strength and impact toughness
(3) Good Processing stability
For this ,Halnn research 3 types pcbn insert, they are BN-H11,BN-S200 and BN-S20 pcbn insert.
BN-H11 belong to brazing pcbn insert, is mainly used for continuous turning process, wear resistance, and suit for high speed finish turning. And the tool life is 5~6 times of ceramic cutters in high cutting speed.
BN-S200 belongs to solid cbn insert, which has excellent wear resistance, mainly used for semi-finishing and finishing process, which can ensure high surface roughness.
BN-S20 belong to solid cbn inserts, which can be used for large allowance, and can obey heavy interrupt turning condition, has high hardness, excellent heat resistance and wear resistance, the tool life is several times of ceramic cutters.
