IEC60061-3: 7006-25-7 E40 Go Gauges for Screw Threads of Lampholders
The drawing is intended only to illustrate the essential dimensions of the gauge.
For details of screw thread of lampholders E10, E14 and E40, see sheets 7004-22, 7004-23 and 7004-24 respectively.
The sharp part of the edge of the threed at the underside of the gauge for checking lampholders E10 and E14 shall be broken with a radius of 0,5 + 0,05 mm.
The sharp part of the edge of the thread at the underside of the gauge for checking lampholders E40 shall be broken with a radius of 1,0 + 0,05 mm.
An additional allowance for wear of - 0,01 mm is permitted beyond the manufacturing tolerance indicated.
PURPOSE: To check the minimum dimensions of the lampholder screw thread and dimension X shown on sheet 7005-20.
TESTING: It shall be possible to screw the gauge into the lampholder without using undue force.
(For the torque to be applied in case of doubt, see IEC 238, subclause 4.4).
When the gauge has been screwed in as far as it will go, the rim of the screw shell of the lampholder shall be co-planar with, or project beyond, surface Y1 but it shall not project beyone surface Y2.
