IEC60061-3: 7006-22B-1 E27 Gauge for Detecting Side-Contacts with Cutting-Edges in Lampholders
The drawings are intended only to illustrate the essential dimensions of the gauge.
For details of lampholders E27, see sheet 7004-21.
The thread of the gauge is made to comply with the dimensions shown ofr the cap on a finished lamp as
illustrated on sheet 7004-21.
The conical part of the gauge shall comply with the followuing requirements:
- Surface finish: 0,4 um (see ISO 468 - 1982)
- Hardness (after tempering): Rockwell cone 55 min.
PURPOSE: To detect the existence of cutting-edges on side-contacts in E27 lampholders.
TESTING: The gauge is screwed home in the lampholder as far as it will go. The combination is then
placed with the plunger of the gauge in a horizontal position and the plunger-face is held against the
holder contacts.
In this position it shall be possible to rotate the plunger in a clockwise and an anti-clockwise
direction for at least an angle of 60°in both directions.
After this test the combination is placed with the plunger in a vertical position and the plunger-face
is pressed againat the holder contacts witha toatl force of 10 N.
In this position it shall be possible to rotate the plunger in a clockwise and an anti-clockwise
direction for at least an angle of 60°in both directions.
The lampholder complies if the torque applied for both tests does not exceed 0,4 Nm.
