This machine is designed for mainly sharpening the cutters which are used for cutting the Spiral Bevel and Hypoid Gears. It is a CNC control semi-automatic Sharpening machine.

Description:

The grinding wheel is of cubic boron nitride(CBN) and when grinding the cutter, the plunge method is used with a high efficiency. The arrangement of machine is as a T type and it means that the machine consists of front guides and back guides. The workhead is mounted on the front guides, which is for indexing and reciprocating on the guides, while the column is mounted on the back guides, which makes the bracket of grinding wheel being moved forward and backward. The bracket of grinding wheel can also be upward and downward on the column.
After the cutter being mounted on the workhead, the cutter can be fixed by clamping plate and drawing bar, which are provided on the machine, or be fixed by hydraulic clamping.
The machine is suitable for sharpening the new type cutter. If the old type cutter, 3 1/2” cutter and the 18” cutter as the flange height 20 & 22mm, and the larger end taper hole diameter being 126.835mm, the extra attachment should be ordered.

The machine is equipped with CNC control system 802D (SIEMENS).
