Adopting theoptical principle of infrared light's scattering and absorption, thetransmitter could get the concentration of suspended solids and sludge. TheMLSS sensor directs some focused beams into the monitored water, The lightbeams reflects off particles in the water, and the resultant light intensity ismeasured by the MLSS sensor's photodetector. The suspended solid concentrationis directly proportional to the scattering and absorption, when the infraredlight go through the liquid.
The suspended solids concentration meter is suitable for the measurement ofsuspended solids (sludge) concentration in municipal sewage or industrialwastewater treatment process; it is one industry online analytical instruments.It could used to monitor the concentration of sludge in the waste watertreatment, control the sludge discharge in primary and secondary sedimentationtank, control the automatic reagent feeding system in sludge thickening tank andsludge dewatering. It could avoid the water quality deterioration and sludgedenitrification & digestion.
