1. Brief

Aflatoxins are a class of fungi (such asAspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus) toxic metabolites, which have astrong carcinogenic, commonly found in corn, peanuts, cotton seed, human bloodand animal feed.Aflatoxin M1 is the hydroxylated metabolite of aflatoxin B1, also a strongcarcinogen. Milk and its products are one of the foods susceptible to aflatoxinM1 contamination. The methods to test Aflatoxin M1 residue is high-performanceliquid chromatography (HPLC), thin layer chromatography (TLC) etc. The use ofaflatoxin M1 ELISA kit to analyze aflatoxin M1 residue of samples is fast andaccurate.

2. Application

Thistest kit can be used to detect aflatoxin M1 in milk, milk powder etc. samplesqualitatively and quantitatively.

3. Principle

Thistest kit is based on the competitive enzyme immunoassay for the detection of AflatoxinsM1. The coupling antigen is pre-coated on the micro-well stripes. TheAflatoxins M1 in the sample and the coupling antigenspre-coated on the micro-well stripes compete for the anti- Aflatoxins M1 antibodies. After the addition of the enzyme conjugate, theTMB substrate is added for coloration. The optical density (OD) value of thesample has a negative correlation with the AflatoxinsM1in the sample. This value is compared to the standard curve and the Aflatoxins M1 residue is subsequently obtained.
