Laser Damage on Eyes
Eyes are most sensitive organ to laser. Laser has the attributes to concentrate in space and time. Because the crystalline lens has converging effect, the energy intensity on the retina increases by 100,000 times from the inflow energy on the cornea. The monochromaticity of laser is good, and the chromatic aberration is small on the ocular fundus. Because pulse laser can damage the eyes much faster than blink reflex (blink reflex of human eyes is 150-250ms, pulse laser can be down to 10ms). In this extremely short time, on this extremely small area, the centralized release of energy (even small amount of laser irradiation) will cause serious damage to cornea and retina.
Principle of Laser Protection Glasses
Laser protection glasses adopt light absorptions principle: It does not have light source selectivity and can prevent various kinds of diffuse lights. It does not have inflow angle of light source. It can prevent specific bands of laser and strong light. It has quick light response, high attenuation ratio and abrasion resistance. Scratch on the surface does not affect the safe protection.
