Introduction of Spiral Classifier:

Spiral classifier is also known as screw classifier and mining spiral classifier, which is widely used not only for shunting mineral sand in closed loop combined with ball mills, or in the gravity grading of ore and fine mud, but also in grading pulp particle size of metal beneficiation process, dehydration and washing operations of the mud.

 Spiral classifier, which can also be called spiral separator, is one of the ore dressing equipment which classifies the materials using the principle that different solid materials have different settlement speed in the liquid due to the difference in proportion.

Working Principle of Ore Spiral Classifier

According to the principle that different particle sizes with different proportion have certain terminal velocity, the fine particles float on the water and overflow out while the coarse particles sink to the bottom and then they will be pushed upward and discharged. The powders will be filtered, with the substandard particles screwed into the feeding port by the spiral vanes and the fine ones discharged from the overflow pipe. The head of the screw axis and the shaft adopt the pig iron cover, which is wear-resisting and durable. There are manual and electric lifting devices separately.

Application : Ore processing plant, mining, resource recovery, etc.

Tips for Its Maintenance:

1. Lubrication points are fueled by sodium or calcium based grease;

2. You should always check the damage of bearings and seals, and replace them timely;

3. Bearings must be lubricated every 4 hours to keep its sealing performance.
