Ultrasound of the transesterification reaction mechanism is based on cavitation.
In the ultrasonic irradiation, the liquid flow generated thousands of tiny bubbles, these tiny air bubbles vibrate in the effect of sound field, when the sound pressure reaches a certain value, the bubble rapidly growth, then bubbles burst and generated the burst wave, so that atmospheric pressure is generated around the thousands.
Radiation input energy is converted into frictional, waves and cavitation, cavitation bubbles burst of negative pressure can produce intense local high temperature ( about 5000K) and high pressure ( about 100Mpa), accompanied by a huge cooling rate ( greater than 109K / S) and the liquid jet stream ( about 400Km / h), and the agitation caused by the pressure of liquid can overcome the adhesion force and the adhesive force to the reaction system in a very short period of time to achieve better mixing.
