Application
The vertical shaft compound pulverizer is one kind of no screening crushing equipment. It is widely applied on the crushing of medium harness material such as iron ore, flint clay, lead zinc ore, serpentine, blast furnace slag, coal gangue, and phosphate ore, especially suitable for the processing and crushing of stone pavement on high speed road or artificial sand making such as hard limestone, dolomite, granite, and basalt.
Working Principle
The working principle of the vertical shaft compound pulverizer is as follows: from the upper part of the machine, the raw material falls vertically into the impeller which rotates at a high speed, and with the effect of the top speed centrifugal force, impacts and smashes at a high speed with the other raw material which distributes around the impeller in an umbrella form. After mutual crushing, the raw material crushes, rubs and smashes mutually by forming vortexes between the impeller and the machine shell, and then the material is directly discharged from the bottom so as to form multiple closed cycle. Meanwhile, by adjusting the distance between the rotor and the impact plate, the granularity of the finished product could be easily controlled.

Components of the vertical compound pulverizer
Rotor
The rotor is the most important component in the vertical plate hammer sand crusher. According to the construction form, the rotor could be overall cast or welding. The overall cast rotor has good rigidity and balance, but needs long manufacturing period, while the welding rotor needs shorter manufacturing period but with bad rigidity. No matter which kind of rotor, it must have enough weight, that is, the inertia must be large when the rotor rotates, the larger crusher should adopt overall cast rotor while the lighter crusher should adopt the welding rotor.
Plate hammer
The plate hammer is the quick-wear part of the vertical plate hammer sand crusher, so it must be solid and has strong wear resistance, and must be easily installed and changed. One set of plate hammer could crush 15000--20000 ton limestone, or 5000--10000 ton cement clinker. The plate hammer adopts ZG30CrMnSi and wear-resistant iron casting material. When crushing cobbles, more wear-resistant high chrome alloy plate hammer could be adopted.
Impact plate
The impact plate has the following functions: one is to protect the barrel from wearing, the other is to bear the collision and crushing from the material throwing out by the plate hammer, and at the same time, rebound the crushed material to the crushing area to crush once more.
Barrel
The barrel is formed by two semicircular barrels. One side of the two semicircular barrels is connected by hinges, and the other side is fixed by bolts. The barrel could be opened and rotated at a certain angle along the hinged points so as to replace various quick-wear parts, examine and repair. The upper part of the barrel is
connected with the upper cover and the bottom part of the barrel is connected with the base. At the top of the upper cover, there is one or two feeding inlet. The base is empty and the crushed material is discharged from the bottom of the base.
