Introduction of Ball Mill
Ball mill is a key piece of equipment for grinding crushed materials, and it is widely used in production lines for powders such as cement, silicates, refractory material, fertilizer, glass ceramics, etc. As well as for ore dressing of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Ball mill can grind various ores and other materials either wet or dry. There are two kinds of ball mills, grate type and overfall type due to different ways of discharging material.
Structure of Ball Mill
Ball mill is mainly composed of feeding part, discharging part, rotating part, transmission part (reducer, pinion, electric motor and electric control) and so on. Its hollow shaft is made of cast steel and inner lining is detachable and can be replaced. The rotating big gear is processed by casting hobbing machine. The inside of the cylinder is equipped with wear-resistant liners. The machine runs steadily and reliably. The main body of ball mill includes cylinder equipped with wear-resistant liners, bearing which supports the cylinder and maintains the cylinder's rotation, the drive part such as motor, gears, pulleys, V-belt, etc.
Classification of Ball Mill
According to different ways of discharging material, there are two kinds of ball mills, grate type and overfall type. According to different materials, it can be divided into cement mill, ceramic sand mill, magnesium ball mill, lime ball mill and ore dressing mill. According to the technical operation, there are dry ball mill, wet ball mill, intermittent ball mill. According to the shape of the cylinder, there are short cylinder ball mill, long cylinder ball mill, tube mill and cone ball mill.
