1. Application
It’s a special inspection tool which is mainly used to inspect the tightness of casing connecting with thread of coupling.
2. Work Principle
It’s composed of air cylinder unit, central tube, sealing component, dowel steel bush, joint and so on. When the packer goes down well, the ring connects with equipment on the ground by wirerope and the central tube connects with high pressure air station. When it reaches desired position, increase pressure by air supply equipment, when the pressure is up to rated one, air cylinder unit compresses barrel to setting and seal casing annulus. Continuously increase the pressure to desired value, close the air supply and watch the pressure meter. If there is no pressure declining, the tightness of the thread is good, or the connecting position of the thread is not sealed.
Unsealing: air supply decompresses after inspection and the packer is unsealed. The cylinder retracts under the elastic force of barrel.
3. Characteristics
1) Easy to seal and unseal
2) Compressive barrel is used to have high pressure resistance and can be sealed and unsealed repeatedly. The barrel can be used for dozens of times.
3) Simple and compact structure. Easy and convenient to assemble. The packer can be used repeatedly after changing the damaged sealing components.
