CAN diagnostic Tools: At the physical layer and data link layer of CAN bus, Can controllers are responsible to check data integrity and detect error and respond accordingly. But at the application layer data integrity can be checked by diagnosis tool and find out the error in data transaction.
CAN Analyzer: CAN analyzer is the universal software analysis tool for ECU networks and distributed systems. CAN analyzer makes it easy to observe, analyze, and supplement data traffic in CAN, LIN systems. With powerful functions and user-programmability, all needs are covered from simple network analysis to advanced troubleshooting of complex problems.
CAN conformance tool: In order to enable manufacturers to check, whether the CANopen implementation of their CANopen devices is compliant to the CANopen specification, CAN in Automation offers the CANopen conformance test tool. Therefore device manufacturers are enabled to:
- test their CANopen implementations or even parts of it during the device development. Thus they can safe time and money during device development.
The CANopen conformance test tool verifies the communication interface of a device, whether it is compliant to the CANopen standard. Although the test tool is focused on the application layer, failures in the lower communication layers may be detected. The CANopen conformance test tool:
- verifies the application layer services.
- tests the EDS against the object dictionary of the CANopen device.
- verifies the network management state machine and the related state transitions.
CANopen tools: CANopen tool provide simplicity of analyzing CAN physical layer frames and CANOpen SDO, PDO and network object that are being transmitted on CAN bus. Apart from that it also provides the simplicity of configuration of any node on the bus. This also provides logging facility of CAN frames.
CAN bus tester: The CAN-Bus Tester 2 constitutes a universal measuring instrument for the commissioning, analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and service/maintenance of CAN bus plants.
Typical problems which occur during the operation of CAN bus plants, such as node failures, faults in the communication or complete standstill of the plant, often have their origins in the physical bus characteristics. CAN observer® is a diagnostic tool for physical and logical long-term monitoring of CAN-bus systems and is designed as a locally installed supplement to the CAN-Bus Tester 2. It is integrated permanently into the network, monitors the data transfer continuously and records it automatically for a period of up to four years. Thanks to CAN observer®, sporadic bus interference, such as external EMC interference or a slowly deteriorating signal quality attributable to worn plug connections, can be detected in good time.
