For alluvial gold, the gold content is low. If want high profit, then 2 indicator of gold mining equipment should be guaranteed: Working Capacity and Recover Rate. Get more gold concentrate only if big capacity, Reduce gold loss only if high revoery rate. Like other mining equipment, Alluvial gold mining need same process and equipments: Feeding, Sieving, Separation, Refine etc..
1. Feeding Alluvial Gold Raw Material
Gold mining need a feeding device, like a hopper. If the raw material has big rock, then hopper should have a grizzly.
Feed by Excavator or Loader, it use different design
2. Sieve Gold and Sand
To ensure providing normal size raw material, material need to be sieved first. There is many sieving machine, like trommel, vibrating screen etc. For alluvial gold, trommel is best. Trommel are simple structure, high efficiency and sieving completely. It's the important sieving machine for alluvial gold mining process.
3. Separation
After sieving, the material should be feeded into separation machine. Gold specific gravity is about 19, sand specific gravity is about 3-5. The Principal Methods of alluvial gold (placer gold) are gravity dressing. Now the most popular gold mining gravity equipment are: Sluice, Concentrator, Shaking Table. In recent years, concentrator (centrifugal machine) is widespread used, and the effect is good. For improving gold mining condition, some institution, colloge and manufacuturer researched some high efficiency gold mining equipment. For instance, cross flow belt chute, short conical hydrocyclone, vibration chute, fluctuate sluice and etc.
Flotation mining, magnetic separation mining, electrostatic separation mining, amalgamation and chemical method are mainly used for separating ore concentrate.
Sluice:
Fixed Sluice is the most common machine. It has has many good advantage, like simple design, no need for power, big capacity, easy maintain, easy use. And the most importatn advantage, it's very very cheap.
But sluice also has big disadvantage. It need high strength work are for sluice cleaning, and low recover rate 50%. So fluctuating sluice is more and more popular in gold mining market. More and more gold mining company replace old fixed sluice with new fluctuate sluice. It's very easy to clean. And recovery rate is up to 70%.
Gold Concentrator:
Sluice is only for coarse gold. Concentrator is for fine gold/ powder gold. It only handle material smaller than 6mm. It has best effect for 3mm. Concentrator is the HIGHEST recover rate gold mining equipment. The recover rate is up to 98%. But the disadvantage is low capacity and need clean water.
Belt Sluice:
Belt sluice like a sluice. But it's slowly rotation. Usually, it used before concentrator and sluice, as it can increase the working capacity. It can reduce the sluice length.
4. Refine Gold
After sluice or concentrator, it's gold heavy concentrate now. It's time to refine. Shaking table or mercury amalgamator is used for this. After shaking table or mercury, the gold purity is about 85%-90% (20K-21K gold). Due to alluvial gold mining process technology, that's the highest purity. For small gold mine, we suggest clients sell it directly. Because 99.99% refine is not economy for small miner. Or you can also use chloroazotic acid. Jacketed Pilot Plant Reactors is a good device. It's a circulate closed machine.
