Overfall type mill is a kind of ball mill, is the most common used grinding mill for ore processing. It is mainly composed of shell, end cap, main bearing, central hollow shaft, transmission gear and feeder etc. The shell is made of 15-36mm weld steel plate. There are cast steel flange plates welded on the bottom and end of the shell. The flange and the end cap 2 & 3 are connected with screws. As the hollow shaft which bears the grinding mill weight is welded on the end cap, the two parts have to be Precision Machining and fit.

The main bearing is a key part of the overfall type ball mill, the lubrication must be very good, generally thin oil is used by circling lubrication, the oil go to the main bearing and transmission bearing in 4 ways through the pump, and go to the oil pipe at the bottom of the bearing, then go back to the fuel tank. Oil-ring self-lubrication, Oil drip lubrication or solid lubricant are used for middle, small ball mill. To make sure the reliability of the lubrication, automatic alarm device for oil break is installed in some ore processing plant.
