The inclined belt skimmer is mainly composed of the hydraulic power station, skimming head (the main unit), the hydraulic oil hose, oil pipeline and other parts.
The main unit of the skimmer pushes the oil spills on the water surface down into the water through the loop-shaped tape which declines downward and then the oil rises up and floats in the oil collecting channel so that the oil spills are gathered and pumped away. One end of the inclined belt is above the water surface while another end is below the water surface in the oil collecting channel. It is driven by the hydraulic motor and hence the oil it encounters is continuously pressed down to the bottom of the channel and then the oil will rise up again and float in the oil collecting channel due to its specific gravity less than that of water.
The power station operates with the hydraulic oil pump and the oil delivery pump driven by the diesel engine or motor; the main unit is composed of the inclined belt roller unit, the oil collecting channel, frame, buoy, the hydraulic oil hose, oil pipeline and other parts. The main unit is located on the water surface while the power station is set on the boat or shore.
This product is not only suitable for harbours, wharfs, gulf, rivers, lakes and other semi-enclosed waters, but also for open seas, offshore and other open waters.
