Using only one drive motor, the spiral can operate at speeds up to 60 meters per minute and can be constructed in either mild or stainless steel, according to the needs of the installation. Automatic conveying chain tensioning according to the weight of the packages is a feature which allows the spiral to be used not only for vertical movement, but also as a storage tower in applications where floor space is limited.
