Overview
The success of broadband services has been overwhelming, creating huge pressure on carriers to expand their PON networks. But usually expansion will be unavailable due to shortage of optical fibers. Can we deliver more bandwidth to more endpoints with less fibers?
WDM-PON (Wavelength Division Multiplexing-Passive Optical Network) is an innovative concept for access and backhaul networks. It uses multiple different wavelengths (WDM) over a physical point-to-multipoint fiber infrastructure that contains no active components (PON). The use of different wavelengths allows for traffic separation within the same physical fiber. WDM-PON allows operators to deliver higher bandwidth to multiple endpoints over longer distances.
Sino-Telecom OEO6500 WDM-GPON system can effectively amplify the optical power of PON line and prolong network transmission distance. With features of compact structure and easy installation, it can be widely used in fields of various bandwidth expansion, remote transmission, GPON access of residential community and FTTH, etc.

- Realize 3R regeneration and amplification of signals by extracting clock from signals;
- Effectively extend the transmission distance of PON to over 60KM;
- Support the networking mode of cascade connection of multiple devices;
- Channel for 1550nm wavelength is reserved, which can share an optical fiber with CATV signals;
- A variety of management modes such as SNMP, serial port and ethernet port are supported;
- The service board is hot-pluggable.
