Rubber dams are a modern type of movable and completely automatic damming construction used on heaving thewater level of a watercourse. Being simple, they are an ideal solution for small water power stations, watering systems, adjustment of down stream segime, recreation all purposes and renovation of older fixed or movable dams. The are also the suitable means for conception and system flood-protective prevention in the given region. Capable of making a self-regulating water basin on water streams, the bags help to direct a water wave and regulate maximum runoff.
The damming element is a rubber-textile bag from subberizea fabric filled with water and fixed to the concrete construction of bottom part of the dam. It is made from one or more layers of a special rubberized fabric. The material used guarantees a long service life of the bag even in extreme conditions.

Definate inflation and deflation
Inflation/Deflation of rubberdam is structually simple by the minimized operating system.
The simple operating procedure makes minimizing the risk by unexpecting water flow originating
from mechanical malfunctioning, gives unparalleled reliability.
Strong flexibility to the silted deposits
Water may not flow by the excess sediments or boulder stones.
Steel gate may be destroyed or water cannot flow by the excess sediments or boulder stone.
But Rubberdam flexible structure removes the influence of sediments and stones definitely
and can deflate naturally.
Long span and adaptable to different side
Long rubberdams can be installed in broad rivers without piers.
They are adaptable to virtually any side slope angle. Little work is needed to modify riverbanks.
While for a steel gate, intermediate piers are generally needed for about every 20m.
Futhermore, steel gates cannot be installed unless the side slopes are vertical.
Deflation Shape
The fin structure of book-ending prevents the damage by the velocity of water flow.
And the flat form of deflated rubber dam makes rubber sheet safe and durable by preventing
abrasion due to vibration from buoyancy.
Fin structure
Fin makes aeration beneath the fin when water overflow rubber dam, and minimizing
the vibration till the height of overflowing water level reach 1 and 1/2 of rubber dam height.
Fixing method
Installation procedure of rubber dam is simple by putting tubber body between fixing apparatuses.
Typically, single-row clamps are used, but if the downstream water level is high then
double-row clamps are applied.
Spacer
Spacer are installed in a row inside the rubber body on one side
to enable inflation/deflation.
This spacer eliminates the need to construct piping on the riverbed,
thereby speeding up the initial setup process while also making it
economical to erect.
