Working Mechanism
The sand filter is based on the principle of deep filtration: Water enters the cylinder through the water inlet and is evenly distributed to the filter sand layer through the water distributor. The quartz sand medium intercepts impurities such as suspended solids and colloids, and the purified water is collected and flows out by the water collector. As the operation time increases, the amount of sewage intercepted by the filter layer increases and the pressure difference rises. At this time, the backwashing program is started: The water flows in the reverse direction through the water collector, stirs the sand layer and flushes out the impurities, and finally discharges from the drain.   1. Q: What's the difference between a sand filter and an ordinary quartz sand filter? A: The sand filter is specially designed for hot spring bathing. Its shell is made of fiberglass for corrosion resistance. The internal water distributor is optimized to ensure uniform water flow, and it is standard-equipped with a multi-way valve for automatic backwashing; ordinary quartz sand filters are mostly made of carbon steel or stainless steel, with poor corrosion resistance and require manual operation, which are not suitable for the high-chlorine environment of hot springs.
