Working Mechanism, Product Features and Technical Specifications
This sand tank is a pressure filter. Its core working principle is as follows: The water to be filtered enters the water distributor at the top of the sand tank through the inlet pipe and is evenly sprayed on the surface of the filter media layer (usually 0.5 - 1.0mm quartz sand). Under the action of gravity and pressure, the water flows through the filter media layer. Impurities such as suspended solids and colloids are trapped in the gaps between the sand grains, while the clean water is collected by the water collector at the bottom and returns to the system through the outlet pipe. As the filtration progresses, the resistance of the filter layer increases. When the differential pressure reaches the set value or the preset time arrives, the backwashing procedure is initiated: The water flows in reverse from the bottom, flushing the filter media layer and allowing the trapped impurities to be discharged with the water flow, thus restoring the filtration capacity.
