Q1: What is the difference between your corrugated filter element and a standard pleated filter?
A: Corrugated design refers to the shape of the pleats – they are formed in a zigzag pattern that increases the effective filtration area. This allows higher flow rates and longer service life compared to standard cylindrical pleated filters of the same dimensions.
Q2: Can this filter element be sterilized by autoclaving or steam-in-place?
A: Yes, the 316L SS construction can withstand repeated steam sterilization (SIP) at 150°C (302°F) for 30 minutes. Autoclaving is also possible. However, ensure the gaskets/O-rings are compatible with steam (silicone or EPDM recommended).
Q3: What is the typical pressure drop across the element at 0.2 micron?
A: The clean pressure drop depends on flow rate, viscosity, and element length. For water at 20°C, a 10-inch element at 10 L/min typically has a pressure drop of 0.2–0.5 bar. We provide detailed curves upon request.
Q4: Are tri-clamp gaskets included?
A: Gaskets are not included by default, but we can supply silicone, EPDM, or PTFE gaskets upon request. Please specify your requirements when ordering.
Q5: Can you provide certificates of compliance or material test reports?
