2. Can this filter be used with hot water?
Yes, the maximum continuous operating temperature is 75°C (167°F). For intermittent use, short spikes up to 80°C may be acceptable, but prolonged exposure above 75°C is not recommended.
3. Is this filter compatible with all standard 10-inch housings?
It fits most standard 10" x 2.5" housings with double open end (DOE) configuration. If your housing uses a different end cap style (e.g., with gasket or extended core), we can customize the end caps to match.
4. Does the filter remove bacteria or viruses?
No, this is a sediment pre-filter (10 micron) and is not designed to remove bacteria or viruses. It is intended for coarse particulate removal; for microbiological protection, a downstream filter (e.g., UV or 0.2 micron) is required.
