Product properties: Also known as lithopone. White powder. It is a mixture ofZinc sulfide andBarium sulfate. Density4.136～4.39g/cm3. Insoluble in water. Easily decomposes when exposed to acid to produceHydrogen sulfide gas. Does not react with hydrogen sulfide and alkaline solutions. Easily oxidizes in the air and agglomerates and deteriorates after getting damp. Whiteness andCoverageis relatively strong. React sulfuric acid withzinc oxide, addpotassium permanganate andzinc powder for solution purification, and obtainzinc sulfate solution after pressure filtration. Then addbarium sulfide solution fordouble decomposition reaction to get a mixed precipitate of zinc sulfide and barium sulfate, which is prepared through pressure filtration, calcination, wet grinding, drying and crushing.
Product characteristics: White powder, insoluble in water, and does not react with hydrogen sulfide and alkaline solutions , and dissolves in acid to produce hydrogen sulfide gas.
Product uses: Widely used in the paint and coating industries, and also used in rubber, ink, enamel, plastics, paper-making, oilcloth, leather-making,PVC and other aspects.
