1. Product Overview
Channel steel is a long hot-rolled section steel with a grooved cross-section. It features reasonable mechanical structure, excellent bending resistance, stable load-bearing capacity and easy installation and assembly. It is a widely used basic section steel in construction engineering, steel structure fabrication, machinery manufacturing, municipal infrastructure, warehousing and logistics industries.
We mainly supply three major series: Hot Rolled Channel Steel, National Standard Channel Steel, Non-standard Channel Steel. 2. Product Classification and Features
2.1 Hot Rolled Channel Steel
Hot Rolled Channel Steel is integrally formed by high-temperature rolling of steel billets and is the mainstream section steel in the market. After high-temperature rolling, the internal grain structure is dense and uniform, delivering good overall toughness, high strength and outstanding impact resistance.
Hot Rolled Channel Steel has a smooth appearance with distinct edges and corners, free from cracks, scars, delamination, slag inclusion and other defects. It offers excellent performance in cold and hot working, welding, cutting and bending. This product enjoys stable production capacity, sufficient supply and strong versatility. Hot Rolled Channel Steel is widely adopted in most construction and industrial scenarios with remarkable cost performance.
2.2 National Standard Channel Steel
National Standard Channel Steel is manufactured in strict accordance with the national standard GB/T 707. All parameters including section height, leg width, web thickness, straightness and fixed length are controlled within the tolerance range specified by national standards.
National Standard Channel Steel has uniform chemical composition and fully compliant mechanical properties. Its bending resistance and load-bearing capacity meet the requirements of formal engineering design with a high safety factor. It is widely used in projects with strict requirements on precision and safety, such as high-rise buildings, large factory buildings, bridge supports, key municipal projects and frames for special equipment. All National Standard Channel Steel products are inspectable and traceable. Material certificates, factory certificates and inspection reports can be provided upon delivery.
2.3 Non-standard Channel Steel
Non-standard Channel Steel is customized according to customers’ actual working conditions, installation space and load-bearing requirements. Its dimensions, wall thickness and length can be adjusted beyond conventional national standard specifications with high flexibility.
Manufactured from high-quality raw materials same as standard section steel, Non-standard Channel Steel has good surface quality and stable structure. It is easy to cut, assemble and weld with a competitive price. It is suitable for scenarios with relatively loose requirements on dimensional tolerance, including simple steel structures, light-duty supports, temporary facilities, small guardrails and special-shaped equipment frames. For working conditions where standard section steel cannot fit due to special equipment, narrow installation space or irregular structures, Non-standard Channel Steel can be customized to exclusive sizes to solve practical application problems.

4. Main Materials and Application Scenarios
4.1 Q235B (General-purpose Main Material)
It is the most widely used material for Hot Rolled Channel Steel, National Standard Channel Steel and Non-standard Channel Steel with large market circulation. It features excellent plasticity, toughness and weldability, easy for cold and hot processing. Its strength meets general load-bearing requirements with high cost performance.
Hot Rolled Channel Steel: Ordinary factory frames, pipe supports, temporary construction facilities, light-duty storage shelves
National Standard Channel Steel: Main structures of civil buildings, general municipal projects, light-duty equipment bases, decorative frames
Non-standard Channel Steel: Simple supports, temporary structures, agricultural facilities, light-duty guardrails
4.2 Q355B (High-strength Low-alloy Material)
It outperforms Q235B in strength, impact resistance and fatigue resistance, with outstanding bending and compression resistance. It is not easy to deform under long-term heavy load, ideal for outdoor and heavy-duty working conditions.
Hot Rolled Channel Steel: Heavy-duty factory buildings, auxiliary frames for construction machinery, vehicle frames, outdoor heavy-load steel structures
National Standard Channel Steel: High-rise buildings, bridge engineering, power supports, frames for large hoisting equipment
Non-standard Channel Steel: Custom heavy-load supports, special-shaped frames for large equipment, field infrastructure components
4.3 Q355C / Q355D (Low-temperature Resistant Material)
It maintains good toughness and avoids brittle fracture in low-temperature environments. Suitable for outdoor projects in cold regions and mechanical equipment operating at low temperatures, mostly applied to National Standard Channel Steel and Hot Rolled Channel Steel.
4.4 20#, 45# (High-quality Carbon Steel)
It has high hardness and good cutting performance, mainly used for precision mechanical parts, machine tool bases and transmission supports, mostly customized into Non-standard Channel Steel.
Supplementary Notes
Standard stocked Hot Rolled Channel Steel and National Standard Channel Steel are normally made of Q235B and Q355B, and material replacement is available on request.
Non-standard Channel Steel can be customized with all the above materials.
Material certificates and mechanical property test reports can be provided for all materials, and third-party quality inspection is acceptable.
5. Surface Treatment
The original surface of section steel is black steel finish. Multiple deep processing treatments are optional according to service environment: rust removal & grinding, paint spraying, cold galvanizing and hot-dip galvanizing. These treatments effectively improve rust and corrosion resistance and extend service life. All Hot Rolled Channel Steel, National Standard Channel Steel and Non-standard Channel Steel can be processed with various anti-corrosion treatments.

9. Delivery Cycle
Conventional in-stock products: Standard Hot Rolled Channel Steel, National Standard Channel Steel and Non-standard Channel Steel without special processing will be delivered within 3–5 working days. Expedited orders are accepted.
Standard fixed-length cutting & simple processing: Orders for cutting, sorting and basic grinding will be delivered within 3–5 working days.
Deep processing & surface treatment: Orders for punching, bending, painting and galvanizing will be delivered within 5–7 working days.
Large-batch & special non-standard customization: Orders with special wall thicknesses, models and materials will be arranged for production, with delivery within 7–15 working days. Priority production can be coordinated.
