Bubble film is a product made by extruding and blistering at a high temperature of about 230 degrees with high-pressure polyethylene as the main raw material and adding auxiliary materials such as whitening agents and opening agents. It is a new type of plastic packaging material with light texture, good transparency, non-toxicity, and no odor, which can play roles such as moisture prevention, buffering, and heat preservation for products.
Bubble film (Air Bubble Film), also known as air cushion film, air bead film, bubble cloth, bubble paper, bubble wrap, bubble thin film, air cushion thin film, is a chemical product used for packaging and filling to prevent pressure, moisture, and shock. It has advantages such as good shock absorption, impact resistance, heat-sealing property, non-toxicity, no odor, moisture resistance, corrosion resistance, and good transparency.

By adding different additives to the plastic raw materials, various special air cushion films such as anti-static ones can be manufactured. Anti-static air cushion films are used for packaging electronic components and assemblies, such as boards and cards, which can prevent static electricity and play a role in buffering and shock prevention. Aluminum foil-plated bubble films are generally used for heat insulation of car sunshades and roofs.

It was invented by American Mark Chavannes in the 1960s.
At first, he just wanted to design a new type of three-dimensional wallpaper. Once when he was on a plane and saw the clouds outside the window,
he felt that the clouds were like something used to protect the plane from a safe landing. Inspired by this, he developed the plastic bubble film.
Due to the excellent properties of bubble film such as shockproof, moisture-proof and wear-resistant, it quickly became a popular packaging material.
