The strengthening mechanism of this alloy round steel mainly relies on solid solution strengthening and fine grain strengthening. Nickel (Ni) element can significantly improve low-temperature toughness and reduce the ductile-brittle transition temperature. A: Their chemical compositions and mechanical properties are very similar. 36NiCrMo16 is a German DIN standard grade, while 36CrNiMo4 is a new European EN standard grade. Q: Can the temperature of the low-temperature impact test for this round steel be lower?
A: The standard impact test temperature is -40℃. However, through optimized heat treatment, the impact energy of some batches can reach ≥27J at -60℃. Q: Is annealing treatment required after cutting?
