A Medium-Size Double Roller Crusher System is a versatile, highly reliable processing line typically designed for capacities ranging from 50 to 150 TPH (tons per hour). Striking the perfect balance between high industrial throughput and a compact footprint, this system features two parallel, horizontally mounted rollers. It is widely utilized in mid-scale mining, aggregate production, coal preparation, and chemical plants for secondary and fine crushing of materials like coal, limestone, shale, slag, and industrial clinker.
| 2. Working Principle |
Controlled Feeding: Material is fed evenly into the crushing chamber directly above the two rollers via a vibrating or belt feeder to prevent overloading.
Counter-Rotation & Compression: Driven by dual independent motors, the rollers rotate toward each other. The friction between the roller surfaces and the material pulls the feed into the "nip area," where it is crushed via consistent mechanical compression and shear forces.
Gravity Discharge: Once the material is fractured smaller than the pre-set clearance gap between the rollers, it exits through the bottom discharge chute via gravity.
Dual Protection System: The system is backed by high-strength springs or heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders. When an uncrushable object (like tramp metal) enters, the rollers slide apart to let it pass safely and then automatically snap back into position.
