Q: What is the difference between a 5K and 10K pressure rating?
A: 5K (K表示公斤力/平方厘米) corresponds to approximately 0.5 MPa design pressure at normal temperature, while 10K is about 1.0 MPa. Our JIS F7305 valve is rated for 5K, suitable for low-pressure marine applications such as cooling water, ballast, and fuel oil systems. For higher pressure needs, we can supply 10K or 16K versions on request. -
Q: Can this valve be used for seawater?
A: Yes, the cast iron body is coated with anti-corrosion paint (epoxy or phenolic ) for seawater resistance. For long-term immersion, we recommend upgrading the trim to stainless steel (SS316) and using a nickel-aluminum bronze disc. Q: What flange standard does this valve mate with?
