What is the maximum tooth hardness you can achieve with induction hardening?
Our standard target is HRC 58-62 on the tooth flanks. For specific applications, we can adjust the induction parameters to achieve up to HRC 64 on low-carbon steels, but HRC 58-62 provides an excellent balance of wear resistance and toughness for 20CrMnTi. -
Can you produce gears with a module smaller than M2 or larger than M20?
M2 – M20 is our standard hobbing range for large gears. For modules below M2, we recommend using our gear grinding service (available upon request). For modules above M20, please consult our engineering team for feasibility. -
Do you provide gear grinding after hobbing to achieve higher precision?
Yes, we offer finish grinding for applications requiring DIN 5 or better accuracy. However, our standard hobbed gears (without grinding) already achieve DIN 6 for most sizes. Grinding is an optional extra-cost service. -
