Semiconductor Packaging Work Table — Anti Static Workstation for OSAT Assembly & IC Testing

If you run an OSAT facility, you already know this: static discharge is not a "sometimes problem." It's a yield killer that works silently, every shift.

After wafers come out of thinning, after dicing, after wire bonding — that's when the devices are most vulnerable. A single ESD event punches through a MOS gate oxide. The damage doesn't show up in electrical test. It doesn't show on X-ray. The device ships, the end customer mounts it on a board, and three months later it fails in the field. One bad chip in a batch, and your customer questions every lot you've ever shipped.

We build work tables that stop that from happening.

The work surface: bonded, not stuck on

A lot of anti-static workstations use adhesive ESD mats. They work fine on day one. By month three, the edges start curling. By month six, flux dust and solder balls get trapped under the lifted corners. Operators start peeling them off because they get in the way.

We don't do mats.

The top is a 5mm polymer composite ESD laminate — fused to a high-density fiberboard core under heat and pressure. The edges are sealed with black PVC banding. Surface resistance stays at 10⁶–10⁹ ohms, right where ANSI/ESD S20.20 requires. No peeling. No lifting. No replacement needed every 18 months. The entire table top acts as one continuous ESD dissipative surface, connected to your facility ground through a steel ground chain. Static drains almost instantly.

Surface color is forest green — easy on the eyes during long shifts.

The frame: cold-rolled steel matters

We use cold-rolled steel for the welded frame. Cold-rolled steel has smooth surface finish, consistent thickness across the entire sheet, and higher tensile strength than the cheap alternative.

What's the alternative? Hot-rolled steel. It costs less. But it comes with mill scale — rough surface, inconsistent gauge, and residual stresses that cause the frame to distort over time. Put a wire bonder, a pick-and-place, or a die shear tester on a hot-rolled frame, and six months later the frame has settled into a slight twist. You can't see it. Your calibration technician will find it.

Our cold-rolled steel frame handles a uniform load of 3,000 kg without measurable deflection. A euro pallet (1200×800mm) loaded with finished IC trays is roughly 800–1,000 kg. You can park two of those on this table without any sag.

Standard dimensions:

Parameter Options
Width 1200 / 1500 / 1800 / 2100 mm
Depth 750 mm
Height 800 mm
Pegboard height 450 mm (optional add-on)

Tool organization that keeps operators moving

An OSAT assembly station uses more tools than most people realize. Tweezers, vacuum pens, magnifying loupes, torque drivers, bond pull testers, ESD wrist strap checkers — a dozen items within arm's reach of each operator. If they have to open a drawer and dig for each one, that's seconds lost per reach. Over a 12-hour shift, it adds up to real downtime.

We offer modular storage that attaches to any bench:

  • Square hole pegboard — 10×10mm holes on 28mm centers. Hang tweezers, cutters, torque tools, wrist strap testers. Visible and reachable.

  • Louver pegboard — 50×20mm slots designed for plastic bin brackets. Keep IC trays, jumper wires, labels organized.

  • Drawer units — mount suspended under the tabletop or as a standalone cabinet with casters. Linked self-locking lock with hardened steel core. One key controls all drawers.

  • Light frame — mounts on top, provides shadow-free illumination across the full work surface.

Every storage component is interchangeable. If your line reconfigures next quarter — maybe this station switches from wire bonding to molding — the pegboard and drawers move with the tools. The frame stays.

Power management that keeps the work surface clean

We integrate a recessed outlet panel into the back of the frame. One five-outlet socket (two-prong + three-prong combination) and one circuit breaker switch. Purpose: no power strips on the work surface. In an OSAT environment, fine metal particles from leadframe trimming and singulation settle everywhere. A power strip sitting on the bench collects conductive dust. We eliminate the problem by putting the power outlet where it belongs — on the frame, out of the way.

Packaging that ships across oceans

KD packaging — knocked down. We learned over years of export shipping that the combination of equatorial heat, container humidity, and rough handling destroys inadequately packed steel furniture.

Current packaging standard:

  • Each steel component wrapped in moisture-proof film

  • Foam corner protectors on all edges

  • Hardware bagged and taped to the corresponding frame member

  • Outer corrugated box or plywood crate

Assembly time for an experienced maintenance tech: roughly 20 minutes. Printed photo guide included.

FAQ

Do you have a minimum order quantity? No hard MOQ. We sell single units to engineering labs replacing one workbench, and hundreds to factories outfitting entire production lines. Both get the same build quality.

Can you customize the table for specific equipment? Yes. Common modifications include cutouts for microscope columns, mounting holes for test fixture brackets, and reinforced sections for heavy bonders. Send us your equipment layout and we'll confirm the build.

What certifications come with it? CE certified. ESD surface tested per ANSI/ESD S20.20. Test reports included with each shipment.

What's the lead time? Standard sizes — 15–20 working days after order confirmation. Custom sizes or special cutouts — 20–25 working days.

How do you price it? FOB Shanghai or CIF to your port. Direct from production base, no middle layers. Quote within 24 hours.

Can I get a sample unit first? Yes. Most of our overseas OSAT customers start with one sample to check weld quality, surface finish, and ESD performance. Approval sample process is straightforward.

If you're planning or expanding an OSAT assembly line and need ESD workstations that actually perform in production — send your requirements. You'll get a quote and spec sheet the same day.
